World renowned and soon-to-be World Heritage site, the Port Arthur Historic Site is a fascinating view into the convict trade and life in Port Arthur. You really need to spend a couple of days exploring this alone - which is why entry tickets to the site last for 48 hours.
You can take the site ferry to the Isle of the Dead to view the cemetary which houses the dead of the period from convicts to overseers, soldiers and their families. 
At Point Puer lies the remains of the first juvenile prison for boys in the Southern Hemisphere. Golf enthusiasts will love the close proximity of the Port Arthur Golf Course only 2kms away on the historic and picturesque Point Puer, overlooking the sea. Golf clubs can be hired and the charges are extremely reasonable.
The Tasmanian Devil Park lets you get up close and personal with Tasmania's famous furry devils at Taranna, 10kms away.
Awesome Remarkable Cave lies at the end of Safety Cove Road, 4 kms from Lookout Lodge. This cave gives the visitor a taste of the rugged and breathtaking rock formations along this coastline which make the region famous. 
There are many sea cruises available to view the coastline and the magnificent Tasman Island. For bushwalkers there are no less than 35 spectacular walking tracks on the Tasman Peninsula.
